Can mice and rats spread COVID-19 from infected mink herds to other mink herds, other animals or humans?

No, there is no evidence to suggest this. Various experiments have tried to infect mice and rats (among others) with COVID-19, but this has not been possible. Therefore, the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration (DVFA) assumes that mice and rats cannot become infected with COVID-19 and, therefore, not able to spread the coronavirus to other animals or humans.

Can bovine animals become infected?

Based on our current knowledge, bovine animals have a low susceptibility to the coronavirus (COVID-19), and there are no confirmed cases of infection in bovine animals under natural conditions. During infection experiments, individual animals were infected to a low degree, but bovine animals did not seem to transmit the infection.
